Probably not. Japan has horrible issues with mold and they're susceptible to a type of mite called Dani. Their environment is not suitable for Western materials for homes. The walls in their homes are not insulted due to awful mold problems.

Traditional Japanese House 4K (Ultra HD)
What a beauty!!!I love oriental style, especially Janpanese old style. I love houses that are made by wood, the older the better. And the house don't have to be big. Smaller house will give a warm feeling. But, it has to be open space. I love it when the whole house is filled with sunlight in the morning. Just so beautiful.
